Trauma Support Group
This trauma group helps individuals to positively tolerate painful emotions, manage triggers, process their pain in a safe setting, and receive community support.
This group will help you to feel prepared and in control when facing painful emotions, overwhelming stress, and triggers that remind you of unhealed trauma. You will learn to regulate your nervous system.
Workshop Details
This 8-week support group will focus on helping you develop skills to tolerate distress, manage triggers, regulate emotions, and practice mindfulness.

You will leave this group with an improved ability to self-soothe, connect to your intuition, tolerate distress and painful emotions, utilize healthy coping tools, and support yourself through difficult situations. You will learn how to find safety in your body and develop the ability to relax and be in the moment.

Emotional flooding
Fear of being hurt or abandoned
Triggers of betrayal
Mistrust in others
Self-destructive coping mechanisms
Difficulty in communication with others
Thoughts of self-harm
Logistics
A preliminary screening interview is required before the group begins.
